Dream Atlas was born from a lifetime of wanting to see more of this world than I have ever been able to experience.
I have always been a dreamer. I have collected places in my heart long before I ever had the chance to put footprints on their soil.
There are mountains I want to stand beneath, oceans I want to stare across, old streets I want to wander, tiny towns I want to discover, cultures I want to experience, history I want to touch, and corners of this world I desperately want to photograph with my own eyes.
But life does not always hand us the passport, the plane ticket, the time, or the money.
So I learned to travel differently.
I travel through webcams and photographs. Through books, maps, documentaries, history, art, stories, research, and the experiences of people who have stood where I still dream of standing.
And then I create.
Dream Atlas is my way of exploring this incredible world from wherever I happen to be. I dig into the places that capture my imagination, discovering their landscapes, people, history, culture, beauty, oddities, stories, and all the little things that make somewhere unlike anywhere else.
The places I have been fortunate enough to experience become part of this atlas too, through my own memories, photographs, stories, and the pieces of myself those journeys left behind.
I do not write about places I have never visited pretending that I have been there.
I write about them because I want to go.
I want to understand them. I want to know what makes them extraordinary. I want to imagine what it might feel like to finally stand there someday with my camera in my hands and think,
I made it.
Until then, I will keep exploring them the ways I can.
I will keep learning.
I will keep creating.
And I will keep dreaming.
Because a life that has not taken me everywhere I wanted to go has never stopped my heart from wandering there.
Dream Atlas exists because some of us have spent our whole lives dreaming about the world.
And dreaming is still a way of going.
